This Aircraft Mechanic 1 will work in a back shop component repair facility in the prop and rotor shop supporting rotary wing aviation.


Responsibilities

  • Candidate will work on components from three MDS aircraft: MH-6/MH-47/MH-60.
  • Responsible for inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and returning to service power train components including gearboxes, rotor heads, tail rotor systems, stabilators, rotor dampeners, and other components.
  • Will use supplied technical references to complete all assigned work.
  • Document all work completed in ACN.
  • Will use PPE and hazmat products IAW with technical publications and site procedures. 

Qualifications

  • Must have 6 years of aviation rotary wing maintenance experience, preferably with 2 years of component repair experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance.
  • Service school producing army MOS 15D or equivalent desirable.
  • Must have own tools and toolbox.
  • Must be familiar with digital record keeping systems such as ACN, ULLS-A, ELAS, etc.
  • Must have have the physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, bend, squat, kneel for long periods of time.
