Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule: 7pm - 7am on a 2-2-3 rotation (all regular hours are night shift).

The Seppic Inc manufacturing site, opened in 2020, is located near Richmond, Virginia, USA. The plant specializes in producing ingredients for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. It has enhanced our proximity to our North American customers and increased our manufacturing capabilities worldwide.
Its overall concept was designed to incorporate the highest levels of manufacturing quality for cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. All of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are integrated at the product flow level as well as at the individual flow level. The units, all outfitted with a self-cleaning system, are fully automated for consistent and easily traceable quality.
The plant has been designed with a minimal-waste or emission objective. The best available techniques were used to reduce waste and emissions to a strict minimum at their origin. The principles of recycling have been systematically adopted and final discharge treatment systems have been installed at the vent and waste-water levels to ensure there is minimal impact on the environment. The facility has obtained ISO 9001:2015, EFfCI and RSPO certification.
The Night Shift Chemical Operators will work in a team environment and execute manufacturing procedures and work instructions to produce cosmetic ingredients according to the manufacturing schedule. The work hours are 7pm - 7am on a 2-2-3 rotation (all regular hours are night shift). Attention and adherence to safety and quality standards are requirements of this position, as this person will be in (indirect) contact with process chemicals and final product. Primary responsibilities are as follows:
Follow and contribute to instructions on batch records as written
Complete documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Operate and support manufacturing equipment according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Perform equipment cleaning according to approved cleaning procedures
Take in-process samples from manufacturing equipment and perform analysis
Build understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation
Monitor and ensure equipment performance during batch processing
Identify and report deviations (non-conformance) to management
Partner with the team to report near-miss incidents or accidents in a timely manner
Maintain a safe, clean workspace and inform maintenance of equipment concerns
Collaborate on and suggest improvements to manufacturing methods
Join root cause investigations and participate in 5S studies
Contribute to other team duties and projects as needed

Are you a MATCH?
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Technical school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
2-3+ years of experience required
Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing processes
Good understanding of industrial safety practices
Good understanding of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Understanding of Good Documentation and Manufacturing Practices
Good ability to read and understand company procedures (SOP’s)
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, use computers and company software
Good communication skills
Ability to drive forklift
Self starter and motivated to complete work in a safe manner with high quality level
