Head of Product Growth (Referrals & Viral Loops)
About this role
What we're looking for:
We need a senior product growth operator with 5+ years of experience engineering viral growth loops and referral programs at high-growth consumer companies. You should have been hands-on building a referral system that drove material organic growth at scale — think Airbnb, Uber, Robinhood, Discord, Zynga, or similar companies where you were there at the right time. Bonus points if you've founded a viral consumer/social app.
What you'll do:
Take over and transform our existing referral program into a true viral growth engine, targeting a 3.6x improvement in 30-Day K Factor
Lead a small team of engineers and designers, shipping daily experiments and iterating rapidly on referral mechanics and viral loops
Own the entire product growth function — referrals, invite loops, UGC, social sharing, gifting, freemium, and novel viral mechanics
Work directly with the CEO, VP of Growth, Head of Product, and VP of Engineering to align cross-functionally and drive organic acquisition
Build and own the analytics stack to measure viral coefficients, referral rates, and loop performance with maniacal precision
Expand scope over time to encompass all product surfaces that drive viral growth as we scale from 100k to 10M customers by 2030

Commitment to candor: full transparency from company and employees, direct feedback given with love, never say things about someone you wouldn't say to them directly
Maniacal sense of urgency: execute at high intensity, work very hard, speed is critical
Enduring frugality: culture of cheapness, anti-luxury, spend cash wisely and carefully
Bulldozing barriers: believe the world is malleable, relentlessly resourceful, self-reliant
Keep your head down: boring people doing exciting work, don't chase short-term status, ignore short-term dopamine hits

Young, founder-led company culture
Focus on long-term customer interest and delivering massively more value than taken
