About the Role

Lead and grow the bancassurance business with assigned banking partner(s) by driving sales performance, developing strong partner relationships, and coaching high-performing sales teams. Work closely with bank and internal stakeholders to deliver business targets, improve customer outcomes, maintain sales quality, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

Business & Sales Performance
  • Deliver agreed sales targets for assigned bank partner(s) and/or region.
  • Drive sales growth by improving pipeline management, conversion rates, and policy issuance.
  • Identify business opportunities across customer segments, branches, and markets, and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Monitor business quality indicators and take corrective actions to support sustainable growth.
Bank Partner Management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders within partner banks.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with bank stakeholders and provide insights and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with bank partners to ensure effective execution of business initiatives and operational alignment.
Team Leadership & People Development
  • Lead, coach, and manage the Bancassurance sales team to deliver business objectives.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Work closely with training teams to identify capability gaps and implement development plans that enhance team performance.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer outcomes and business growth.
Sales Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Promote responsible sales practices through customer needs analysis and appropriate product recommendations.
  • Manage customer complaints and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Financial and Non-Financial Measures

  • Achievement of ANP, VONB, sales target, and case count objectives.
  • Policy conversion and issuance performance.
  • Branch activation and productivity.
  • Persistency performance.
  • Complaint management and sales quality indicators.
  • Adoption and utilization of digital sales tools and platforms.

Communication Requirements

External: Bank Division Heads, Zone Heads, Branch Managers, Bank Staff, Bank Partner Project Teams

Internal: Partnership Distribution Leadership Team, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Customer Service, Marketing, Product, Finance, Compliance, Human Resources


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance sales, bancassurance, partnership distribution, banking, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales targets and managing regional or multi-branch performance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior business partners.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business performance data and KPIs.
  • Good understanding of insurance products, sales processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and digital sales tools.
