About the Role

Under the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel, the counsel shall manage all general law matters which covers litigation, claim dispute questions, general contracts, marketing communication and labor matters.

DISPUTES AND LITIGATION:

  • Managing the disputes and litigation of the Company’s channels.

  • Advising the Company on the litigation risks of possible business decisions, providing preventive counselling with respect to the legal risks associated with business practices, and developing strategy with both inside and outside counsel in response to civil litigation (including negotiating settlement agreements where appropriate), and cost-effectively managing the resources required to address those matters; and

  • Representing the Company for any disputes and litigation, to appear before the court, Badan Mediasi Asuransi Indonesia, BPSK or other Indonesian’s law enforcement bodies.

OPERATIONS RELATED

  • Assisting the Operation Department in handling legal questions related to customers complaints and claims derived from the Company’s channels; and

  • Prepare and review draft operation related agreements.

AGREEMENTS FOR GENERAL MATTERS

  • Supervise the work of the Legal Counsel (General Matter) in the review and finalization of general contracts of the Company.

EMPLOYMENT/LABOUR:

  • Assisting the HR Department in handling legal questions related to employees' complaints and disputes; and

  • Assist in the finalization of the HR policies including the company regulation.

LITIGATION, CUSTOMERS’ COMPLAINTS AND LABOUR RELATED REGULATIONS:

  • Monitors and provides updates on regulatory development related to litigation, customers complaints and labor;

  • Develops and maintains strong contacts with the regulator for any issues related to litigation, customers complaints and labor; and

  • Take active participations in AAJI forums for initiatives or programs related to litigation, customers’ complaints and labor.
