Job Description

AHRC New York City is seeking a Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator to support the Director and Associate Vice President of Fiscal Intermediary.

Compensation Package: $60,000 per year plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit package. See additional Benefit information below.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to the FI Director and the AVP of Fiscal Intermediary
  • Project a highly professional, kind, and trustworthy image that reflects the organization's standards.
  • Carry individual caseload of SD Participants.
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and expenditures.
  • Monitor EHR data and AR Billing Reports to ensure accurate tracking of billing and service delivery. Ensure billing is Medicaid eligible and coincides with budget. 
  • Interface with Finance and other needed departments to ensure accurate reporting of reimbursements and processing of SD self-hired staff.
  • Interface with OPWDD TABS system for enrollment/disenrollment
  • Obtain needed documentation to ensure billing and continuation of services.
  • Maintain Broker Trainings/Follow-up
  • Review initial budgets and amendments prior to submission for state approval
  • Attend Circle of Support meetings, Life Plan meetings, Launch meetings and any other meetings that are required or are requested by the Self Direction Participant.
  • As a member of Circle of Support, participate in development of Life Plans and action plans for individuals.
  • Provide education and guidance to the Circle of Support Team on the regulations set forth by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and New York State.
  • Partner constructively with Participants, advocates and professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and support.
  • Facilitate conversations with Program Participants and family members by focusing on collaborative solutions.
  • Perform other tasks related to the program, as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services related field.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrate exactness in review of service and billing documentation. 
  • Exhibit a high degree of patience when navigating challenging interactions
  • Knowledge of clinical assessment tools and techniques for use in conducting reviews of individual service needs and determining life plans and goals.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate with effectiveness and clarity with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities and OPWDD supports and services preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
