SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating production activities and material usage planning for manufacturing site(s) at BIOVECTRA. This role will support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Master Capacity Schedule (MCS) by ensuring timely material availability, creating and maintaining bills of materials, and managing requisitions from order placement to release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the site Master Production Schedule.
  • Convert demand forecasts into executable manufacturing plans.
  • Align production schedules with capacity constraints, material availability, equipment readiness and workforce availability.
  • Lead schedule reviews and planning meetings.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and recovery plans.
  • Identify and communicate production risks.
  • Support inventory optimization while maintaining customer service levels.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain., Procurement, Technical Operations, Quality, and Project Management.
  • Prepare planning metrics and management reports.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, science, supply chain, or related field preferred.

  • Other technical diploma supplemented with technical training or equivalent work experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing (biopharma, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SYSPRO, JDE, Dynamics).
  • Experience balancing capacity, materials, labor, and customer demand.


Preferred Certifications:

  • APICS/ASCM CPIM
  • CSCP
  • PMP (beneficial)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (optional)

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $20.37 - $35.65/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
