This is an exciting opportunity to join Agilent’s Finance team within the Financial Planning and Analysis function. The team plays a critical role that helps leadership make strategic business decisions by evaluating financial data, forecasting future performance, and managing budgets.


About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to support financial and business analytics initiatives. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across Finance, FP&A, and Business functions.
The candidate will work closely with business teams to translate requirements into scalable reporting solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making.


Your key responsibilities will include:
• Act as a business analytics partner to Finance and business teams, understanding reporting requirements and translating them into Power BI solutions.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support Orders, Revenue, Shipments, Backlog, and P&L analytics.
• Build and optimize data models, including relationships, calculated columns, and DAX measures (cumulative, variance, forecast vs actuals).
• Develop automated reporting frameworks ensuring consistency, scalability, and reduced manual effort.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (SAP ECC, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Fabric, Excel, etc.) into Power BI datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation with source systems.
• Create executive-level dashboards with clear storytelling, KPIs, and drill-down capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams for data pipeline and architecture alignment.
• Improve performance of reports (query optimization, incremental refresh, model tuning).
• Support forecasting and variance analysis through data visualization and insights.
• Drive standardization and automation of reporting across business units.
• Provide user training and documentation for Power BI reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering (B-Tech / M-tech in Computer Science), Master’s in Computer Applications (BCA+MCA).
    • 5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics role.
    • Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (mandatory).
    • Data modelling and Power Query (M language).
    • Advanced DAX, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor.
    • Experience with financial data (Revenue, Orders, P&L) preferred.
    • Knowledge of data sources such as SAP ECC, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Fabric, SQL databases.
    • Proficiency in SQL and Excel (Power Query).
    • Experience in building enterprise dashboards and executive reporting solutions.
    • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact across global teams.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in Finance analytics environment.
• Exposure to Fabric / Azure / Lakehouse architectures.
• Understanding of advanced Dax and Tabular Editor.
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Spotfire, Tableau, etc.).

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
