Job Description
This leadership role main function is to manage Service Parts Logistics (SPL) in Asia-Pacific. The Asia Pacific Operations Manager will be based at an Agilent site in China, Malaysia or Singapore and will lead a team of 7 staff in Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, China and South Korea. Reporting to the Global Service Parts Fulfillment Director, the job role will be accountable for:
Ensuring a growth mindset to support service business growth in Asia-Pacific
Driving efficiencies and cost reductions to support Global Logistics goals.
Supporting enterprise level initiatives in the Ignite Transformation Relocation.
Ensuring external and internal Compliance requirements are met at all times.
Developing and enhancing relationships and collaboration with Agilent business partners.
Managing Logistics Service providers for warehousing and transportation in the Asia Pacific region.
Developing and adhering to global process standards in alignment with EMEA and AFO.
Ensuring effective service inventory management in APAC through collaboration with the SPL Regional Managers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience.
Typically, a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs for entry to this level.
Knowledge and experience of Trade Compliance rules applicable to a US headquartered Multinational Corporation.
Track record of managing Logistics Service Providers and driving improvements and efficiencies.
Demonstrated ability to work with overseas/international colleagues and business partners.
Qualification/Certification and experience in Continuous Improvement Methodology (e.g. LEAN or Six Sigma).
Analytical mindset.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Excellent inter personal and communication skills.
