Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Head of Supply Chain, reporting to the BU President, who will lead the supply chain activities for all Film & Chemicals related business. This includes the end-to-end supply chain, the operations located in Wuxi, China and the global inventory management. The incumbent will be part of the BU Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in end-to-end supply chain management, inventory control, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and be accustomed to a high degree of complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end Supply Chain and Planning lead on all Film and Chemicals related business. The business has its largest manufacturing footprint in Mortsel and has a worldwide distribution network in fast changing commodity markets. As key member of the business leadership team you are responsible to ensure service levels and customer satisfaction; drive continuous improvement; align the cost-to-serve and develop a capable and entrepreneurial team.
- Inventory Management: Develop and oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize stockouts. Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and turnover.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Strategically drive and improve the S&OP process to align supply chain activities with business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production, and manage supply chain risks. Strong interaction and collaboration with the operations management team in Belgium are required.
- Downstream Operations: Steer the downstream assets in Wuxi (China) and Third party manufacturing to form an integrated high performing global supply network.
- End-to-End Supply Chain process improvement: collaborate with group functions to optimize the supply chain processes, from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality standards.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Non-hierarchical team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cross functional supply chain teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent by experience) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in EtE supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in enhancing supply chain processes, inventory management, and S&OP. Demonstrated result in establishing sustainable supply chain and reduce inventory in large scale
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and structure information to make data-driven decisions and trade-offs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
