Job Overview

The Front Office Associate plays a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service efficiently and accurately, and completing sales and service transactions at the cash registers. 

Front Office Associates will also handle customer issues that may arise on the sales floor and during the check out process. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store’s brand, ensuring continuous delivery of outstanding customer service. 

Full-time, hourly position - with benefits!

 

Job Responsibilities & Duties 

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, assist at pointofsale, and resolve customer concerns.

  • Complete customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Partners with sales associates to provide superior customer service (i.e., assist customers, answer phones).

  • Demonstrate ownership and pride in performance to enhance the customer experience.

  • Rent out AFW vehicles, process financing applications, and follow established operational procedures.

  • Execute consistent selling and operational processes, including credit applications.

  • Educate customers on the Satisfaction Guaranteed return policy.

  • Identify and read reports, tickets, UPC labels, and merchandise information.

  • Assists with merchandise support tasks (i.e., maintenance, straightening merchandise).

  • Respond to and conduct public address system announcements.

  • All other duties assigned by the Front Office Lead, Front Office Manager, Store/Regional/or Operations Manager as directed.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

 

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a clerk, cashier, or similar role preferred.

  • Experience with cash handling and safe balancing.

  • Experience with STORIS software, and advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

  • Flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends required.

  • Basic reading, arithmetic, writing, and oral communication skills required.

  • Ability to efficiently use computers, internet applications, and printing system. 

  • Strategic planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Ability to deescalated situations when needed.

  • Professional Appearance.

     

Education & Experience

High school diploma/GED preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Compensation Package

  • Pay rate: Starting at $18/hour and up! Depending on Experience

    • Pay Grade A: $16.00 - $26.91

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds at times. 

  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas. 

  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours daily.

  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back. 

  • Able to work in various environments with different lighting, loud exterior noise, and flooring.
