About the Role

As the Maintenance Technician, you will play a central role in both automation, facilities, and machinery initiatives. You will work directly with Operations to troubleshoot equipment in real-time, implement upgrades, and ensure system reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities

Automation:

   Support end-to-end implementation of automation and manufacturing upgrades, including mechanical/electrical integration and field installation

   Perform daily hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustments on automation equipment, conveyors, robotics, and precision manufacturing systems 

   Respond to production line disruptions and ensure minimal downtime through quick intervention and root cause analysis

   Work with mechanical, electrical and PLC suppliers to investigate and correct issues with equipment

General Maintenance/Facilities:

   Performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment/machinery and physical structures to ensure the functionality and condition does not deteriorate. Activities may include cleaning or lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery, devices, or control instruments

   Repairs or replaces defective machine/equipment parts, or physical structures using hand tools and power tools, and reassembles machine/equipment

   Manages outside services including HVAC, Safety, Cleaning service or maintenance.

   Respond to non-scheduled service calls as required by 2nd shift or weekend operations

   Coordinates the installation and relocation of equipment

   Ensure compliance with appropriate external regulations and internal maintenance and Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.

   Knowledge of safety protocols and LOTO procedures

   Maintains accurate records on work requests and completion, type of maintenance or repair work, and other similar records

   Abides by, enforces, and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations

   Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

   5-7 years maintenance and automation experience required

   Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC software

   Basic computer skills to be able to use programs for work orders and parts management and ordering

   Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods

   Working knowledge of tools, power tools, common appliances, and devices

   Good problem-solving skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to comprehend and carry out instructions, both written and verbal

   Ability and/or willingness to drive a forklift (stand-up and/or sit-down) 

   Self-motivated and driven to exceed goals

   Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities

   Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

   This position will require the candidate to pass a pre-employment drug screen 

Travel: Not required

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, frequently will be required to sit; type; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls (some repetitive motion); and talk or hear. Also, will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. Environmental Factors: Normal office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment.

Pay Range: $29.00 - $37.00/hour
