Service Quality Control Specialist
About this role
Aerones is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join our LER (Leading Edge Repair) operations team in Riga. The role is responsible for real-time verification of blade repair work carried out by Aerones field teams across the US and Europe.
The QC Specialist reviews each repair stage using live robot camera feeds, drone imagery, and work order data, and issues a pass, monitor, or rework decision for each blade before the field team proceeds. Rework decisions are communicated directly to the field team lead and carry immediate authority to halt work.
Responsibilities:
- Review surface preparation and LEP application stages for all active blades during shift
- Issue Acceptable / Monitor / Rework decisions in real time for each blade
- Maintain complete QC records for every blade reviewed
- Communicate deviations to field team leads via dedicated GChat workspaces
- Respond to field queries through the QC support channel during shift hours
- Present shift findings at the daily QC review meeting
- Review historic blade data during lower-volume periods
Working hours: rotating shift work on a 9-week cycle. Day shift 09:00–18:00, Evening shift 18:00–02:00 (1-hour paid lunch included, 8 hours net). Two consecutive days off after every 5 working days. Schedule published in advance. Evening shift includes night work hours (22:00–02:00) with statutory supplement.
- Strong attention to visual detail — ability to assess image and video quality accurately and consistently
- Comfortable working with structured data, checklists, and digital tracking systems
- Ability to make clear, independent decisions under time pressure and communicate them precisely
- Proficient written English for real-time communication with international field teams
- Fast learner — ability to absorb technical guidelines and apply them without close supervision
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including evening hours ending at 02:00
- Background in quality control, technical inspection, or deviation tracking will considered as advantage
- Familiarity with drone imagery review, video analysis, or remote monitoring tools will considered as advantage
