This is a full time position providing administrative tasks and assistance specifically to Human Resources. This is a hybrid role that combines remote work with on-site responsibilities. The candidate will work both remotely and in the office, providing HR administrative support while serving as the primary point of contact for employees at the HR office during scheduled on-site days.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in entering personnel information into Paycom, eVero, and Relias
Update employee terminations in Paycom and eVero as needed
Assist employees with employee self-service in Paycom
Prepare new employee files
Create and assist in tracking pay rate sheets
Assist with new hire process including setting up fingerprinting appointments and completing background checks
Assist employees with disability benefits (DBL, FMLA, PFL)
Work with individual and/or Circle of Support to complete mentor evaluations
Assist with mailings for department
Assist with HR internal audits
Remain knowledgeable of changing DOL regulations
Provide “customer service” to employees as needed, answering questions both in person and by telephone, directing information
Participate in organizational events
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation and Previous Experience Requirements
Associates Degree in Human Resources, business or closely related field. At least one year working in an HR office environment with knowledge of NYS employment law preferred. Experience with MS Office and web-based payroll systems or demonstrated ability to learn new software preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, customer service ability, and have the ability to work in a flexible team environment.
Knowledge and Skills Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position
Knowledge of disability related issues preferred
Microsoft Word and Excel experience
Proficiency with email, general internet use, and good phone skills
Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment
Ability to read and write correspondence and / or memos
Ability to present information 1:1 or in a small group and have good interpersonal skills
Must be able to tolerate a moderate noise level in the environment and handle distractions
Must be able to self initiate tasks and work independently

Must ensure confidentiality is maintained for all business related activities including but not limited to employee and client information.
Must be able to promote an atmosphere of communication, collaboration, support, and team within the office.
Must follow the organization’s policies and procedures.
Job Related physical abilities needed in order to perform the job in a satisfactory manner
Must be able to sit, stand, use hands, reach, talk, hear, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
