About this role

Job Description:

A PCB, Final Visual Inspector is a quality control role that ensures fully manufactured circuit boards are free of defects before they ship to customers. Inspectors examine the boards under a microscope at high magnification to ensure all features meet our customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Visual Inspection: Examine bare boards under magnification (microscopes) for workmanship defects.
  • Defect Detection: Check for missing solder mask, features meet spec. board meets FFF.
  • Coating and Surface Checks: Inspect the board for scratches, warpage, pitting, and proper application of protective coatings.
  • Quality Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain accurate quality logs, and complete lot acceptance sheets.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Tag and report defective materials or parts that fail to meet industry and customer standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to address repeat defects and improve manufacturing yields.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Good computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a microscope or magnifying equipment.
  • Good close-up vision (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Occasional lifting of light materials or panels (up to 25 pounds).

Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):

  • Able to read and write in English
