Job Description:
A PCB, Final Visual Inspector is a quality control role that ensures fully manufactured circuit boards are free of defects before they ship to customers. Inspectors examine the boards under a microscope at high magnification to ensure all features meet our customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Visual Inspection: Examine bare boards under magnification (microscopes) for workmanship defects.
- Defect Detection: Check for missing solder mask, features meet spec. board meets FFF.
- Coating and Surface Checks: Inspect the board for scratches, warpage, pitting, and proper application of protective coatings.
- Quality Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain accurate quality logs, and complete lot acceptance sheets.
- Non-Conformance Management: Tag and report defective materials or parts that fail to meet industry and customer standards.
- Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to address repeat defects and improve manufacturing yields.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Good computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a microscope or magnifying equipment.
- Good close-up vision (with or without corrective lenses).
- Occasional lifting of light materials or panels (up to 25 pounds).
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
- Able to read and write in English
