About this role
- Mechanical and electrical installation, setup, upgrade, calibration, and maintenance of Advantest Test systems according to quality standards.
- Comprehensive hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex test systems and peripheral equipment.
- Spare parts management, including the physical handling, exchange, and installation of heavy assemblies and mechanical/electronic components.
- Test Cell Support and physical docking/undocking of test systems with handlers and probers.
- Integration of systems, hardware interfaces, and services into the customer’s production environment.
- Install, adapt, and configure systems software (e.g., Operating System, Tester Software, diagnostic tools, etc.) according to customer requirements and Advantest regulations.
- Solves a broad range of hardware and software problems of varying scope and complexity directly at the machine level.
- Collect, evaluate, and provide customer requirements for consideration in product improvements and new product developments.
- Handle short-term projects and achieve results by applying project management methodology.
Qualifications
- University Degree / Master / Bachelor in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or technical school (associate engineering degree) inclusive practical, hands-on experience.
- Solid practical skills in mechanical assembly, electronics, and manual handling of heavy system components.
- Knowledge in MS Office. Preferred skills in Linux (Redhat) operating system, IT networks, and software-based system diagnostics.
- Strong hands-on mentality and demonstrated troubleshooting skills on both hardware and software levels.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Ability and motivation to work in teams and in a global environment.
- Physical resilience and ability to work with minimum supervision under pressure directly on-site at customer facilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
