About this role
- Research and identify suitable land parcels for development, creating databases of land parcels, landowners, and intermediaries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, consultants, and government officials.
- Lead negotiations with landowners for land purchase and secure properties for development projects.
- Coordinate with legal teams for title verification and assist with land records, agreements, and other documentation.
- Work with government offices, such as revenue and municipal departments, to obtain necessary approvals, clearances, and permits.
- Track land market trends and provide insights and data to management for strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- A degree in any discipline, with some roles preferring specific technical knowledge in fields like environmental science.
- Several years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, or a related field is typically required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a foundational understanding of land records, registration processes, and local laws are essential.
- Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, networking ability, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach are crucial.
- In-depth knowledge of the local real estate market, land records, and government bodies is vital.
