Job Summary:
Provides technical leadership and engineering support to field production and maintenance operations in Syria. The role connects the office engineering function with field execution to achieve production targets, improve gas-system performance, resolve complex operational and maintenance issues, ensure accurate production allocation and reporting, and maintain engineering, reliability, and process-safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams and lead troubleshooting of complex operating and equipment issues.
- Optimize gas gathering and processing, flow assurance, equipment performance and production recovery.
- Coordinate maintenance strategies, outages, turnarounds, reliability improvements and asset-integrity actions.
- Ensure accurate production allocation and reporting and track production, facility uptime, losses and operating risks.
- Support process-safety reviews, MOC, HAZOP, HAZID, PSSR, incident investigations and technical modifications.
- Review technical requisitions, scopes, bids and budgets and coach engineers in optimization, troubleshooting and operational discipline.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years of production-operations or maintenance-engineering experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong experience in gas production, flow assurance, reliability, maintenance and asset integrity.
- Experience with simulation or production-analysis tools, technical requisitions, budgeting and contractor support.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong analytical, influencing and technical-communication skills.
