Job Summary

The Senior Residential Advisor provides leadership and supervision to Residential Advisors while maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for students. This role promotes student success by ensuring program compliance, mentoring staff and students, coordinating residential activities, and fostering positive behavior.

Work Schedule

Overnight Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:30 AM
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Days Off: Wednesday and Thursday

Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support Residential Advisors during assigned shifts.
Ensure student safety, security, and appropriate behavior within the dormitory.
Complete student documentation, including incident reports, evaluations, passes, and leave requests.
Train, coach, and assist in evaluating residential staff.
Communicate with students, families, counselors, and staff to support student success.
Coordinate student activities, orientations, and life skills programming.
Conduct dorm inspections, monitor cleanliness, and report maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate student records and enforce Job Corps policies, including the Zero Tolerance Policy.
Serve as a positive role model by promoting Career Success Standards and mentoring students.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in residential life, youth services, education, or a related field.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
