Are you an experienced nurse looking for a rewarding role where you can truly impact the next generation? Exeter Job Corps is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our wellness initiatives, provide exceptional preventative care, and mentor youth on their journey to career success.

What You Will Do

As our Registered Nurse, you will bridge the gap between healthcare and education. You will oversee preventative and emergency health services while assisting in the leadership of our Wellness Department.

Clinical Care: Evaluate student health concerns, manage chronic conditions, and administer medications.
Department Leadership: Assist in supervising wellness staff, coordinate schedules, and manage the medical budget.
Wellness Advocacy: Lead or participate in our HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) Committee to promote healthy student habits.
Patient Privacy: Maintain absolute compliance with HIPAA laws and federal medical record regulations.

What We Are Looking For

We need a leader who balances clinical expertise with a supportive, mentoring mindset.

Education: Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in Nursing (ASN).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of RI.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience.
Leadership: At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management capacity strongly preferred.

This position works 20 hours per week. Monday and Friday will be required days. Health & Wellness Manager will work with the right candidate to create a flexible schedule that meets both parties' requirements.

Please note there may be some flexibility with the start and end times of each shift

We support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Patient Care.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible to provide preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws.

JOB DUTIES

Evaluates student health issues and concerns and makes referrals as appropriate
Assists in the supervision and management the Wellness Department and staff
Ensures Center establishes and maintains Memorandums of Understandings with local hospitals and wellness related community resources
Compiles and submits all required reports and plans per DOL/Corporate policy when directed
Acts as Center liaison with local agencies for purchasing applicable third-party health insurance for students, coordinating health services, environmental health inspections and other health-related issues
Maintains and revises current health care guidelines to ensure quality and effective wellness services to students
Coordinates and oversees the chronic condition case management programs
Proactively manages the Center’s medical separation process and provides students with the required medical services and referrals to ensure student return and completion of the Job Corps program
Participates as an active member of the Center’s HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) Committee
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Valid, active, unrestricted RI RN license required
Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required
