As the Health & Wellness Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Center's Wellness Services Department, ensuring students have access to high-quality preventive, emergency, and ongoing healthcare services. This role is responsible for managing medical, mental health, dental, and wellness programs while fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive environment where students can thrive.

The Health & Wellness Manager ensures compliance with HIPAA, Department of Labor (DOL), and company policies while leading a dedicated team of wellness professionals committed to exceptional student care.

What You'll Do

Lead the Wellness Program

Direct the daily operations of the Wellness Services Department, including medical, mental health, dental, and contracted wellness services.
Supervise, mentor, and develop Wellness staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the healthcare needs of the student population.
Manage departmental budgets while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
Recruit, onboard, train, and retain qualified staff in a timely manner.

Deliver Exceptional Student Care

Oversee the delivery of preventive, routine, and emergency healthcare services.
Evaluate student health concerns and coordinate referrals to appropriate medical providers and specialists.
Manage chronic condition case management programs to support student wellness and program completion.
Lead the Center's medical separation and return-to-program processes, ensuring students receive appropriate care and referrals.
Maintain current clinical guidelines and wellness protocols to promote quality care and continuous improvement.

Ensure Compliance & Quality

Safeguard the confidentiality of student health information in compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Ensure accurate medical records, medication administration, and documentation practices.
Maintain adequate inventories of medical equipment and supplies.
Prepare and submit all required reports, plans, and documentation in accordance with DOL and company requirements.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.

Build Community Partnerships

Establish and maintain Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with local hospitals, healthcare providers, and community wellness resources.
Serve as the Center's liaison with community agencies regarding student healthcare services, third-party health insurance, environmental health inspections, and other wellness initiatives.
Collaborate with Safety and Security to complete required Significant Incident Reports and support campus-wide health and safety efforts.

Foster Collaboration & Student Success

Partner with leaders across all departments to promote student well-being and coordinated care.
Participate in and support the Center's HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) Committee, serving as the wellness representative when applicable.
Model professionalism, respect, and accountability while reinforcing Career Success Standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing programs, supporting staff development, and ensuring student-centered services.

Additional Information

This position reports to the Finance & Administration Director along with the Center Director and may receive direction from the Center Duty Officer or Shift Manager as operational needs require.
The Health & Wellness Manager is a dedicated leadership position and may not simultaneously serve as the Center's Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of the Center's mission.

QualificationsTo Qualify To Apply You Must Be/Have:

Registered Nurse.
Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing.
Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center is located.
Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required.
Regional Approval required.
