Residential House Manager
About this role
Basic Function: The mission of our Residential Services Department is to provide housing and living services to the disadvantaged and developmentally disabled. Our Residential Homes or Intermediate Care Facilities can house up to 15 individuals and CILA's or Community Integrated Living Facilities can house between 6-8 residents. Both options offer safe, small group environments where residents can learn the necessary life skills such as money management and personal care under the guidance of trained 24-hour staff. Included in these programs are pre-vocational and vocational and employment training that further strengthen their life skills and assist in enabling to live as independently as possible.
We currently have an opportunity available for a Residential Manager with our Residential Services Department under the division of Employment Community Support Services. This position is responsible for the safety, welfare, training and overall operations of Persons supported residing in the Residential program. This position will maintain close and positive relationships with referral/sponsoring agencies and regulatory bodies.

Supervises: Direct Support Staff
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing oversight of assigned persons supported planning and to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Responsible for maintaining on-going knowledge and understanding of established levels of oversight and supervision requirements under the Individuals’ plan of care.
- Schedules medical appointments and ensures that consultation forms are completed by the nurse.
- Assists in medical emergencies to include transporting individuals to and from medical appointments and accompanying individuals on medical appointments and supporting open communication with nursing and medical services staff to ensure individual safety and overall wellbeing.
- Supervises all Direct Care Staff.
- Supports the hiring and training of direct care staff to ensure compliance with performance standards as it relates to agency requirements, mission, goals and principles. Conduct relevant training as needed.
- Oversees new staff in-home orientation.
Qualifications:
- Education: This position requires a High School diploma, associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of supervisory experience and cumulative experience with increasing responsibility within a human services or social services working with individuals with development disabilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- The incumbent must be able to effectively communicate orally and in written with internal/external vendors/clients, staff and management, and maintain professional relationships.
- This position requires the incumbent to be on call after normal business hours to address any emergencies and/or concerns.
- This position must possess valid/current driver’s license and annual clearance of the Agency background screening process.
