Echo NDE is currently seeking Eddy Current Technicians to support various projects and turnarounds throughout Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate Eddy Current Testing (ET) equipment in accordance with established procedures and inspection requirements.
- Conduct Eddy Current and other applicable NDT examinations on components, parts, and materials following approved procedures and client specifications.
- Perform inspections accurately and efficiently while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
- Interpret and evaluate test indications in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and communicate relevant indications or defects to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete inspection reports, test records, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure all instruments, probes, and accessories are in proper working condition and within required calibration periods.
- Assist with other NDT and inspection activities as required to support project and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate organization of test results, inspection records, and supporting documentation.
- Follow all company, client, and regulatory quality and safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians, supervisors, and client representatives to complete inspection activities safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- CGSB Eddy Current Testing (ET1 or ET2) certification.
- Additional CGSB certifications are considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and assist with various NDT and inspection techniques.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts as required.
- Willingness to travel throughout Alberta to support inspection projects.
- Fly-In/Fly-Out opportunities are available for qualified candidates.
