Position Summary
The Housing Manager provides leadership, supervision, and support to Housing Specialists across Achieva-supported counties. This role ensures high-quality housing services that promote stability, independence, and community integration. Responsibilities include staff development, community partnership building, housing advocacy, and oversight of housing-related documentation, assessments, and service delivery. This position plays a key role in expanding access to affordable housing opportunities and supporting successful long-term housing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily supervision, coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management for Housing Specialists.
Support staff in assisting individuals with obtaining and maintaining safe, affordable housing.
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, legal aid organizations, county assistance offices, and community partners.
Represent Achieva at community meetings, housing coalitions, and landlord engagement events.
Assist with eviction prevention efforts and provide resources to support housing stability.
Monitor and ensure timely completion of required documentation, assessments, and progress notes.
Prepare reports and track housing placements, landlord partnerships, and program performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and departmental standards.
Meet established productivity and billing expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate Degree and one year of housing-related experience preferred.
Knowledge of housing programs and resources, including Housing Choice Voucher Programs, Housing Authorities, Fair Housing regulations, and HUD programs.
Prepared Renter Education Program (PREP by Inglis) certification preferred or obtained within the first 60 days of employment (paid for by Achieva).
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle required.
Must meet Act 33 and Act 34 clearance requirements.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
