Position Summary

Maintains the overall planning and integrity of the Early Intervention Program. Provides technical assistance and quality assurance measures to staff and contracted therapists, in all Counties, in the provision and documentation of Family Guided Routines Based Interventions as well as overall quality management. Monitoring includes, but is not limited to, review of Individual Family Service Plan documentation in the electronic document system for completion and quality assurance. Participates as a member of the Early Intervention Management Team. Supports the Associate Director and Vice President of Early Intervention in day-to-day operations of the department. Reports to the Associate Director of Early Intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain part-time early intervention caseload.
Implements quality measures and practices established by the Department.
Monitors the submission of required paperwork related to the IFSP, including but not limited to: session notes, quarterly progress monitoring, ECO data and any County-specific forms and reviews for quality.
Helps to develop and update as needed, the pre-service program for all new staff and consultants.
Assists Early Intervention Manager with pre-service training for new hires and/or independent consultants, in accordance with Federal Guidelines under IDEA. Trains new therapists in the use of the electronic record system.
Conducts observations, provides constructive feedback and mentors therapists.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of ongoing training opportunities for the Early Intervention Program including annual mandatory topics.
Attends in-service and other training as required.
Represents Achieva Early Intervention at LICC meetings, Transition Sub-Committee, County Provider meetings and conducts and attends other meetings when necessary.
Provides routine updates on all aspects of responsibilities to the VP of Early Intervention on a regular basis and will give formal progress reports on assigned duties upon request.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the provision of EI services in Pennsylvania.
