Mechanical Draughtsman

1. Design & Drafting Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for new and customized products using Solid Edge & AutoCAD software.
• Develop part drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and machine layouts.
• Create BOMs and manufacturing documentation for production.
• Prepare prototype and development layouts for new product initiatives.
• Update drawings and assemblies based on engineering design modifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards and GD&T practices.

 

1. Technical Support & Coordination

• Take measurements and prepare sketches of machine parts and assemblies.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and operations teams for design clarification and execution.
• Visit vendors and customer sites for technical discussions, measurements, project support, and troubleshooting.
• Support manufacturing teams with drawing interpretation and revisions when required.

 

1. Documentation & Process Management

• Maintain and organize project drawings, revision records, and technical documentation.
• Prepare and maintain design output documents and project files.
• Ensure proper version control and documentation accuracy.

Participate in daily review meetings with the HOD and team members to update project progress and status.

• Timely completion of mechanical drawings and layouts within planned schedules.
• Development of high-quality and manufacturable customized products.
• Accuracy of drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Effective implementation of design changes and revisions.
• Proper maintenance of project documentation and engineering records.

Support for smooth coordination between engineering, production and vendors.
