With no direct supervision, provides very complex specialized services and support to department, office, or program.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Provide support services during non class/open lab times for Fashion Design courses and programs, including Instruction, lab setup and lab safety for the Fashion Design department.
Communicates with instructors to monitor students attendance and participation during lab time.
Serve as communications liaison for Fashion Design courses and programs. Provide information regarding courses and program offerings.
Assist students attending lab as needed to support student progress and comprehension of course work.
Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure all students are following the Code of Conduct specific to Fashion Design
Ensure all equipments is in running condition and is turned off at end of lab sessions
Secures all students work in appropriate cabinets and spaces
Safely secures classroom at end of lab time
Knowledge
Course work in all areas of Fashion Design, with specific attention to construction of garments and pattern work
Skills
Maintaining an established work schedule.
Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.
Safety
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

$30.40/hour
