abra R&D is hiring an Avionics Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to lead the end-to-end development, integration, and deployment of advanced avionics and mission systems for airborne platforms.

This role involves system architecture, requirements management, multidisciplinary coordination, system integration, and customer-facing technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.


Requirements

Must have:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer working on complex multidisciplinary systems.
  • Experience with navigation, electro-optical (EO/IR) camera systems, imaging sensors, or airborne payloads.
  • Hands-on experience in system integration, verification & validation (V&V), and system requirements management.
  • Strong understanding of communication interfaces, embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with GPS/INS navigation systems, computer vision, or sensor fusion.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or requirements management tools.
  • Experience working with UAVs, autonomous platforms, or other advanced sensing systems.
