The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Leader who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leads by example to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies. Leads and participates in Risk Assessment, 5S, and STOP programs.
- Monitors daily production schedules and ensures parts are assembled and delivered on time.
- Ensures that quality objectives are achieved.
- Assigns and monitors daily work to ensure standards, instructions, and goals are met. Maintains Standardized Work documentation, communicates with Supervisors and Managers, and provides daily results and employee performance feedback.
- Monitoring daily production schedules and ensuring product is delivered timely.
- Uses problem solving techniques to proactively address issues or concerns internal to their functional area of responsibility, elevating to Supervisor and/or Manager where appropriate for resolution.
- Monitors and arranges for proper preventive maintenance of machines, equipment, and facilities for functional areas of responsibility.
- You’ll be the go-to resource for employee training, ensuring employees are prepared to perform their jobs safely and effectively. Provides cross-training to build skills, create development opportunities, and maintain flexibility in daily assignments.
- Collaborates with associates to identify continuous improvement (kaizen) opportunities and recommend solutions. Leads approved kaizen activities and supports TPS processes and Jishuken activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Two or more years of assembly experience.
- Experience driving a forklift or willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills (ex: Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc)
- Demonstration of leadership skills.
- Ability to lead/coach in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and dependability.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
What Sets You Apart:
- Previous leadership experience.
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE), SAP and/or Wavetrak.
Where and When You’ll Work:
- This is an in-person role located at our “M5” Muscatine, IA facility - ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- Standard working hours are 6am – 2:30pm – overtime is anticipated based on business needs, however, it is not guaranteed.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Wage - $22.50/hour + $2.00/hour leadership premium.
Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
