Parts Coordinator, Purchasing
About this role
To exceed customer expectations by securing parts for our customers on a timely basis and in the most efficient way. Provide quality technical support to our external and internal customers and other departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the best quality parts, customer service and technical support in our industry.
- Execute business system policies and processes thru accurate order entry.
- Process stock, emergency and special orders as required.
- Maintain an accurate supplier and parts database.
- Work in a team atmosphere supporting the goals and objectives of our department and company.
- Provide technical support and research for internal and external customers.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and business system integrity.
- To research customer requirements through the use of various mediums including microfiche, business systems, iParts, technical inquiries, manuals, the internet and various other resources.
- Project a courteous and professional image at all times.
- Maintain a safe and non-hazardous work environment.
- Follow all department and company policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build strong customer relationships
- Promote products and services offered by Carolina Handling.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
- Support the Parts Departments Vision and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and listening.
- Basic sales mindset or previous sales experience
- Basic technical skills and/or material handling background.
- Strong desire to exceed customer’s expectations.
- Must possess demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Must exhibit detail orientation.
- PC / Mainframe experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of all office equipment i.e.: computer, fax machine, copier, microfiches, multi-line phone; 10 key calculator, and filing systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products – Excel, Word, Outlook
