Whether you’ve worked as a forklift technician or have transferable experience as an auto, diesel, conveyor, heavy equipment, or other electro-mechanical mechanic—this could be the perfect next step in your career. What You’ll Do

  • Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repair Raymond battery-powered lift trucks along with other industrial equipment such as warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment
  • Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges
  • Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training
  • Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet
  • Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.
  • Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)
  • Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals
  • Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
  • Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
