This is a first shift position.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing team as well as contributing to the work in this division by accomplishing the goals and objectives assigned by management. As a working Team Lead, you will be involved in the distribution of new work, training new associates, setting up work stations and overseeing the quality of product and work being produced. The Team Leader is also responsible for maintaining an organized workplace, accurate inventory, consistent flow of product, proper record keeping while meeting the demands of the department and production schedules.
Specific duties may include:
Ensuring that all associates are following safety procedures
Overseeing the distribution of work and assigning work to associates as needed
Providing continuous training to all associates
Ensuring the MOS system is used on the shop floor and/or warehouse
Maintaining accurate work order reporting
Maintaining accurate inventory transactions, labeling and controls
Weighing, identifying and putting away product to maintain accurate inventory records
Overseeing product quality control procedures
Participating in the interviewing and hiring process as required
Troubleshooting process problems and/or product quality challenges
Reporting safety concerns, policy infractions, conflict or needed disciplinary actions as needed to manager
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
Two year technical degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse supervisory role is required
Ability to read and interpret process instructions, drawings, dimensions and machine settings
Experience measuring with a tape measure, caliper, micrometer or similar measuring devices
Ability to operate all machines within plant and follow process steps
Mathematical skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and works well under pressure
Physical Demand:
Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Work Environment:
100% manufacturing setting
Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
