DBA Specialist
About this role
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced DBA Specialist to manage and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in production, UAT, and development environments. The role involves performance tuning, replication, backup/recovery, security, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle & PostgreSQL databases.

Perform installation, patching, and configuration.

Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Configure replication, high availability, and clustering solutions.

Implement security measures and troubleshoot database issues.

Write automation scripts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:

3-4 years DBA experience with Oracle & PostgreSQL.

Strong SQL/PLpgSQL and Linux knowledge (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Experience with replication, clustering, and backup tools (RMAN, pgBackRest, Dataguard, RAC, Patroni).
Preferred:

Database certifications (OCP), cloud DB experience (AWS RDS, Azure), automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Education:

Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Soft Skills:

Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work under pressure in production environments.
