Position Details:
- Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts, from 7 AM to 7 AM

Average CT Surgical Cases Per Day: 1-2
- Annual Emergency Room Volume: 30,000
- Operating Rooms: 1 dedicated Heart OR, 1 Hybrid OR
- Documentation System: EPIC EMR

Support Staff: Includes a First Assist with endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting experience, a focused anesthesia team dedicated to cardiothoracic surgery, and a collaborative ICU team.

Patient Demographic: Adult and Geriatric
- Monthly Shift Requirement: 4-7 shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Adult Cardiac Surgery: Required focus area
- CABG (including arterial revascularization using internal mammary and radial arteries; redo cases)
- Heart Valve Repair/Replacement
- General Thoracic Surgical Procedures (including tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, pericardial window)
- ICU Management of high-risk cases (including Impella insertion/removal/bailout; medical management of critically ill patients)
- Support for Structural Heart Procedures (in hybrid OR/catheterization lab)
Mandated Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Required
- BLS Certification: Required
- Kentucky Medical License: Preferred (candidates requiring licensure will be considered)

Clean Background Check: Required
- Impella Support Experience: (Insertion/removal/bailout) Required
- Experience with Structural Heart Support: (in Hybrid OR/Cath Lab) Required
Certification and Licensure Requirements:
- Certifications: BLS, Board Certification
