Position Overview:
- Coverage Duration: Immediate start for a 3-month term, with potential for extension.
- Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic environment.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- The primary focus will be on gynecological (GYN) cases, with some obstetrics (OB) duties as needed, particularly for well-woman visits.
- Telehealth services will be incorporated alongside traditional clinic appointments.
- Strong GYN experience is essential. Practitioners must perform their own ultrasounds, including dating pregnancies up to 8 weeks.
- Proficiency in managing preventive GYN care, endometrial biopsies (EMB), addressing abnormal bleeding, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is required.
- Experience with Bartholin abscess management and Pap tests is also necessary.
Call Responsibilities: No on-call duties are expected.
Patient Volume:
- Anticipated daily patient load is 20-24, with 12-13 scheduled patients during each of the four-hour morning and afternoon sessions.
Support Structure:
- Each shift is supported by a full team of registered nurses (RNs) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs).
- A supervising physician will be present on-site.
System Proficiency:
- Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is required.
Credentialing:
- Credentialing process is estimated to take around 90 days from the submission of the application.
Qualifications:
- Required certifications include Board Certification in the relevant specialty and American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS).
- A valid California medical license is mandatory.
