Description



This contract position offers an on-site work environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the care of young patients requiring anesthesia.



As a Locum MD in Pediatric Anesthesiology, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective perioperative care for pediatric patients. This role is vital to our medical practice, providing essential anesthesia services in a variety of surgical settings. We pride ourselves on supporting healthcare professionals in delivering the highest standard of patient care.



Responsibilities



  • Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop anesthesia care plans
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary
  • Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide postoperative care and pain management strategies
  • Conduct post-procedure assessments and follow-up treatments
  • Educate families about anesthesia options and safety
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records


Requirements



  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology with a focus on pediatrics
  • Prior experience in pediatric anesthesiology preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Current state medical license and board certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification


Level I Trauma Center



Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts



No call required



Must be board-certified
