Description

This is a contract-based, on-site opportunity for an associate-level physician to deliver high-quality urological care while enjoying the flexibility of a locum tenens assignment within a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum Urology physician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad spectrum of urological conditions. Working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will provide comprehensive patient care—from initial consultations through surgical intervention and follow-up—while helping our medical practice maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urological consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care for patients
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate disorders, and urological malignancies
• Perform urological procedures and surgeries, including minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and urodynamic studies
• Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, and other medical professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records in accordance with regulatory standards
• Provide on-call coverage and emergency urological care as required
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Urology
• Board certification or board eligibility in Urology
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction
• 2+ years of clinical experience in urology, appropriate for an associate-level position
• Proficiency in urological surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical practice environment
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaborative skills

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, Monday-Friday

Monday-Thursday: Surgery 7a-2p, clinic 3p-5p

Friday: Clinic 8a-5p

Level IV Trauma

Patient Volume: 17+ per day

Duties: Attending to clinic patients, on-call for hospital emergencies and admissions, and performing surgeries

Procedures are required

Support Staff: Clinic MA and RN, perioperative nurses

EMR: Meditech, eCW

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
