Description
This contract, on-site position offers an outstanding opportunity to deliver comprehensive women's health services in a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare environment.
As a Locum Ob/Gyn physician, you will provide high-quality care across the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecological services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological examinations, and surgical procedures. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals who share a commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients of all ages
- Conduct routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations
- Manage prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care for expectant mothers
- Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures, including minimally invasive techniques
- Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system
- Develop individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessments and patient history
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient medical records and documentation
- Educate patients on reproductive health, preventive care, and wellness strategies
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency obstetric and gynecological cases
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
- Associate-level clinical experience in Ob/Gyn practice settings
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
- Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule: 8x 24-hour shifts per month
Setting: Inpatient only
Annual Volume: ~2K deliveries
Level III NICU onsite
Required Skills: Low-risk pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine and complex deliveries, and laceration repairs
Preferred Skills: Office/minor gynecology and surgical gynecology
Must be board-certified
BLS required
