Description



. This contract-based, on-site position is ideal for an Associate-level physician looking to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.



As a Locum Ob/Gyn physician, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological examinations, and surgical procedures. Working within a collaborative medical team, you will ensure continuity of care for patients while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.



Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients of all ages
  • Perform routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and diagnostic procedures
  • Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers
  • Conduct deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections
  • Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system
  • Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency obstetric coverage as required
  • Ensure compliance with all medical, legal, and regulatory standards


Requirements



  • Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification
  • Strong clinical skills in both obstetric and gynecological procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Willingness to work on-site in Kankakee on a contract basis


Schedule: 24-hour in house coverage, specific dates



1,000 annual deliveries



Must be board-certified
