. This contract role is designed for an Associate-level physician with a passion for delivering comprehensive women's health care in a thriving Medical Practice environment.



As a Locum Ob/Gyn physician, you will provide essential obstetrical and gynecological services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery management, and a full spectrum of gynecological treatments. Working on-site alongside experienced nurses, midwives, and fellow healthcare professionals, you will ensure patients receive the highest standard of care while supporting the practice's commitment to clinical excellence and community health.



Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management
  • Perform gynecological examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population
  • Conduct routine and high-risk pregnancy assessments, including fetal monitoring and ultrasound interpretation
  • Perform surgical procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other gynecologic surgeries
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, midwives, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment records
  • Provide patient education on reproductive health, family planning, contraception, and preventive care
  • Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotations and ensure continuity of care across shifts


Requirements



  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Associate-level clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with a proven track record of patient care
  • Strong clinical proficiency in prenatal care, labor and delivery, and gynecologic procedures
  • Excellent diagnostic, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site medical environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and collaborative teamwork


Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7a-7a, specific dates



Annual Volume: 50 deliveries, 25 GYN procedures



Procedures: Suction D&C, laparoscopy, read NST’s, C/Sections, circumcisions, and tubal litigations



EMR: Epic and Dragon



Must be board-certified or board-eligible



Additional Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
