As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in managing patient care, conducting thorough evaluations, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal treatment plans. This position helps us meet the growing healthcare demands within our community and contributes to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnoses
- Develop and implement treatment plans for hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to deliver optimal care
- Conduct rounds and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Ensure seamless communication with patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the hospital
- Stay updated on the latest best practices in Internal Medicine
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical skills in Internal Medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred
Shifts: 10 or 12-hour day, night, or weekend shifts
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
Daily Volume: 16-20 patients
Closed ICU
No procedures
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
