This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional care in a community-focused environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions while working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will significantly contribute to enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring high standards of care within our practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics for patients with gastrointestinal issues
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans
- Perform various medical procedures related to gastroenterology
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and preventive measures
- Remain current with advancements in gastroenterology
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in on-call duties as required
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuing education
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Level III Trauma Center
Schedule: Monday-Sunday (8a-5p), specific dates
Call: ER call from 8a-5p each day
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Clinic Patient Volume: 4-6 patients
Must be able to cover GI procedures for urgent inpatient needs
Comfortable with performing ERCP or EUS is preferred
Support Staff: 1 MD
EMR: Cerner
Board certification required
CSR and DEA required
