This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our dedicated team, providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients in a dynamic clinical environment.
As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes by delivering safe and effective anesthesia during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that each patient's surgical experience is as smooth and pain-free as possible. Your expertise will directly impact our commitment to excellence in patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement anesthesia care plans
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
- Conduct preoperative assessments and evaluate patient medical histories
- Manage postoperative pain and provide necessary follow-up care
- Maintain accurate medical records related to anesthesia administration
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesia practices and protocols
- Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines in all anesthesia-related activities
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Current medical license to practice in Texas
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in anesthesiology
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
Level II trauma center functioning as a Level I
Schedule: 7a-7p, 3 days/week
Night and weekend call
Work Schedule - Days/Week:
7A-7P, 7p-7a Monday-Friday, 7a-7a weekend call
Case Types: Cardiac, ENT, GI, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, pulmonary, general surgery, urology, bariatrics
Will supervise CRNAs, but mainly solo cases
Support Staff: Care team model
EMR: Epic
TEE certification required
Must be board-certified
