This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work on-site within the dynamic field of Ob/Gyn, providing essential care to expectant mothers and their families.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, while collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your contributions will play a vital role in supporting women’s health and fostering positive childbirth experiences in our community.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, and postpartum care to patients
- Conduct physical examinations and health assessments
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients on health maintenance and wellness
- Manage labor and delivery for low-risk pregnancies
- Support and advocate for patients throughout their childbirth journey
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing, with a focus on Midwifery
- Current CNM certification and licensure
- Experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
- Flexible availability for on-site responsibilities
Level III Trauma
Schedule: 6x 24-hour call shifts per month
Annual Volume: ~1,200 births
Duties: Triage, manage, deliver, and discharge patients, and after-hours secondary phone triage
Surgical first-assist for all C-sections
Support Staff: OB/GYN physician and RNs
Team Structure: 6 OB/GYN physicians, 6 CNMs, 1 GYN surgeon, and 1 GYN ARNP
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
BLS & DEA required
