Position Overview: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Coverage Duration: Immediate start for a period of 13 weeks, with the potential for extension.
- Practice Environment: Hospital and ambulatory surgery center setting.
- Facility Capacity:
- Total hospital beds: 460

Operating Rooms (ORs): 17 at the medical center, 5 at the ambulatory surgery center
- Labor & Delivery rooms: 3
- Work Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend coverage (maximum once a month). Shift options include either 5x8 hour shifts (11 PM - 7:30 AM or 9 PM - 7:30 AM) or 4x10 hour shifts.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Proficiency with healthy pediatric patients is required. Experience in obstetrics is preferred but not mandatory.
- While a full-scope anesthesia practice is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
- The caseload is primarily lower acuity cases, with no critical pediatric patients, as these are managed by Pediatric Anesthesiologists.
- Typical cases include orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, gastrointestinal procedures, interventional radiology, head and neck surgeries, catheterizations, spinal surgeries, and epidurals.
- On-Call Requirements: No on-call responsibilities expected.
- Patient Volume: Patient load is variable, dependent on daily scheduling of cases.

Staffing Ratio: 1:1 CRNA to Anesthesiologist ratio per shift.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC system in use.
- Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 90 days post-application submission.
- Required Certifications: Must hold Board Certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified by the American Heart Association.
