Maintenance/ Delivery Driver - 1st Shift
About this role
Summary: The Delivery Driver is responsible for making local/regional company and customer product deliveries using a company truck or van.
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five or more days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.
Salary Range: $20.00 To 23.00 Hourly
Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver jobs in a timely manner to defined route/delivery area via use of GPS safely and follow appropriate directions
Obey traffic laws and follow established transportation/traffic procedures
Maintain company vehicle in proper compliant working order by inspecting vehicle, supplies, and equipment such as: gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, etc.
Conduct daily safety checks of vehicles
Report any mechanical problems encountered with company vehicles
Verify the customer order manifest against shipping and delivery documents
Report delivery delays, traffic conditions/situations to other drivers and base
Report any/all vehicle accidents, near miss incidents, traffic violations or change in your DMV status
Comply with all company work safety rules, regulations and protocol
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Report any/all workplace hazards to management immediately
Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Report any/all work related injuries or illnesses to supervisor immediately
Complete and process all required tasks
Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Attend all department/company meetings
Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCES:
- Good experience and knowledge of local roads, routes, congestion times, etc.
- Previous experience with deliveries to business customers
- Valid Class C driver’s license
- Clean DMV record
- Forklift experience, preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred

- Effectively communicate orally and written in English with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers
- Adaptable skillset to work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business environment
- Customer service oriented, ability to listen actively and manage potentially difficult customer experiences with patience and professionalism ensuring customers receive a positive experience
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Detail-oriented, accuracy focused, and organized work ethic including efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks/assignments

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, talk, or hear.
- The employee may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close/distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically
- Assist warehouse shipping department with wrapping of skids, maintenance of inventory, and other tasks as assigned

- Within this manufacturing environment the employee is regularly exposed to noise at varying levels, the employee may be exposed to fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat.
