The Walnut Hill School for the Arts Community Dance Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ballet teacher to join the CDA faculty for the 2026 – 2027 school year. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a dancer and educator who is excited to work with our most advanced high school students, as well as one or two additional levels.
Schedule: Part-time (1-2 days per week)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience ranging from $45 - $60 per hour

The Walnut Hill School for the Arts Community Dance Academy (CDA) provides an encouraging environment for students ranging in age from 3-18, with extended classes available for adults. Each student is challenged to reach their full dance potential with a strong sense of self-worth and accomplishment. The dance curriculum is designed to develop strength and flexibility through a pure classical technique. Classical ballet training is at the core of our program, and classes in jazz, modern, and contemporary complement and enhance this foundation. This approach gives young dancers the greatest freedom and facility to pursue their own personal expression and to adapt to the eclectic repertoires found in colleges, universities, and dance companies today.
The CDA is located in downtown Natick, walking distance from the commuter rail station.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experienced dancer & educator; experience working with adolescents required
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive community
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of individuals
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Physical Demands: Physical demands include dexterity for mechanical and supply operation including but not limited to driving, writing, typing, using electronic devices, computer, phone, office machinery, copy machine, fax machine, and printers, and tools. Walking, ascending/descending stairs, stooping, bending, reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, dancing, moving, stretching, and sitting or standing for extended periods of time are common. Ability to demonstrate applicable dance technique is required.
