The Claims Associate manages damaged and returned merchandise to ensure inventory accuracy and store profitability. This includes processing vendor requests, handling recalls, and maintaining a safe and clean claims area.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Handle Damaged and Returned Items
Scans damaged and stolen items quickly and correctly to help prevent loss.
Process Returns and Vendor Requests
Prepares returns, vendor requests, recalls, and donation items by completing required paperwork, packing, and shipping on time.
Keep the Claims Area Safe and Clean
Keeps the claims area neat, clean, and safe by following proper lifting, ladder use, and chemical disposal procedures.
Follow Claims Procedures
Follows Company rules for handling damaged and recalled items, keeps claims up to date, and completes required forms for older claims to reduce chargebacks.
Support Store Programs
Completes Customer Value Program (CVP) tasks as assigned and follows current systems and processes.
Work with Other Teams
Provides support to the Office Support Associate and Directs Store Delivery Associate when needed.
Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Physical Demands
• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
