As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature development, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in software lifecycle execution, including coding, debugging, and continuous integration, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. You will contribute to solution design, technical leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure alignment with business objectives. Emphasizing engineering excellence and innovation, you will drive quality, performance, and continuous improvement across software systems to support Sams Club’s strategic goals. About the team:
Our team collaborates closely with US clubs and eCommerce to enhance customer experiences through innovative technology. Supporting a broad product range—including groceries, entertainment, and sporting goods—available via samsclub.com, mobile apps, and in-store, we focus on advancing customer service, merchant tools, data science, and personalized search. We deliver scalable, reliable software that empowers stores, merchants, and associates while aligning with business goals. Emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and a product-driven approach, the team ensures impactful technology solutions that effectively support both customers and internal teams. What you'll do:
Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support.
Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
Assist in converting high-level designs into scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with platform objectives.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure quality and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
Monitor application performance and support continuous integration and delivery practices.
What you'll bring:
Strong proficiency in Swift (iOS), ReactJS, NodeJS, Java and/or Kotlin (Android), with experience building scalable and maintainable mobile applications.
Proven track record shipping production apps on the App Store and/or Google Play.
Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles .
Experience with RESTful API / GraphQL integration and secure data handling.
Solid grasp of mobile app lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization.
Strong focus on building high-quality, testable applications with robust test coverage
Experience working in large, enterprise-scale organizations with cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge on supporting tools like Figma, Charles, Postman.
Prior experience in the retail industry is a strong plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
