The welder is responsible for prepping, welding, and repairing barges, including work on decks and in cargo holds. Additional duties include barge cleaning, mooring barges using rigging, and inspecting tanks for water.
Candidates should be proficient in stick and wire feed welding across various positions (overhead, flat, vertical). Must be physically capable of working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting over 100 lbs in varying weather conditions.
